Its hilarious some bastards are VOTING on if something is dehumanising for Black women

Its not enough we say something is dehumanising—Black women are worth so little you get to vote. Because if your not hurt or offended, then why should it matter the people its aimed at don’t like it. Black women don’t get to have a say on our humanity. If we don’t like something, tough shit

All the people that aren’t Black women shouting how they’re POC and they aren’t offended.

All the white people excusing it

Anything not to respect our humanity. Anything to continue consuming our bodies and bringing back past racist fashion so they can don it on skinny pale bodies

Well done Huffington post and all the people that aren’t Black women excusing the dehumanisation of Black women

Some how a black face mammy image meant to be racist and dehumanise Black people ( Black women in particular) isn’t racist. Lets continue to shit on Black femininity and mock it by putting it on some skinny white models. Oh look at white women (and light WOC) not being agents in the dehumanisation of Black women.

I’m looking forward to white feminist not giving a shit but crying how they care about all women. Looking forward to all the people that aren’t Black women telling Black women we’re over reacting because why can’t we just be silent about more dehumanisation because calling a spade a spade might make them feel bad or uncomfortable

What the fuck, world?  We don’t get to VOTE on something like that.  We don’t get to say if SOMEONE ELSE should find something dehumanizing.  What we get to do is listen to the people this actually affects.

The whole thing is really fucked up. I don’t understand how it’s in a section of HuffPo called “Black Voices,” clearly explains how the whole thing is messed up and mega-racist .. and then there is a poll? 1) Unnecessary and 2) Essentially invalidates the whole situation/article/everything. It’s like “Do you have a brain and/or did you actually read the article?” or “Are you an unapologetically racist white person?”
